About Bleep
Bleep is the world's first human-verified social network. It's a social network without bots. We ensure bots are not present on the network by requiring human verification to post via World ID.
Besides eliminating bots, Bleep also solves three other issues: spam, algorithmic and advertiser targeting, and information source certainty (with perfect certainty; who posted what when).
To be clear, we have nothing against AI, but it seems likely that, because AI can be misused in an informational context, humanity is eventually going to need a platform where there is no ability for AI to post.
No Spam, No Ads, No Algorithms
We reduce spam by requiring some "skin in the game" as well as by limiting how many posts someone can post per day. The "skin in the game" is that each post costs a few cents USD to post. This "do I really want to post this" moment improves the overall quality of posts on the platform.
In addition to improving post quality, paying a little to post means Bleep does not fall into the trap of making its users the product. Because Bleep users fund the operation of the company, we do not run ads and do not collect and sell data on our users to advertisers. This means we do not need to engagement farm in order to keep eyeballs on the site.
The upshot of all this is that Bleep does not use any algorithmic optimization in displaying posts. Finally, you are not the product.
What is posted is what is shown, in the order it is posted.
Permanent Record on Blockchain
Lastly, every post is uploaded as text to the Base Ethereum blockchain. Because blockchains are immutable, this provides an eternal ledger of what is posted and when which no one can change. This recording is particularly useful in the domains of science and journalism in so far as one can now say with certainty who posted what first, or when some claim was made, etc.
We hope you enjoy Bleep; a social network for the future of humanity 😊
